2 DAYS SINCE LAST GOOSE ATTACK

Got chased by a goose, tripped and broke my wrist. After that I learned to never turn your back or they’ll chase you. Stay frosty, friends.

Chrome Kill Page Message

I found this dialogue box amusing this morning. It is worth noting that Chrome only seemed to choke because XP was in the choking process.

Why I Can't Return Your Phone Call

Your attempts to contact me have fallen into an unfortunate modern memory hole. This type of situation can only be achieved in the technologically advanced future that is now.

No, I didn't mean to lose your phone number. Please, allow me to explain why I don't have your number anymore even though you left it in a voicemail yesterday.

My phone didn't register your call as a missed call because it does not get a signal in the YMCA locker room that it was stored in when you called. The phone doesn't upload this info (which would be nice), but instead stores only what it sees while its connected to the network. So, I can't just go to my missed call list to get your number.

I also can not hear your message again to write the number down, because I erased it (thinking the number was stored on my phone contacts list). For the very same reason, I can not use my voicemail system to either read me your number or return your call. The message was deleted and there is no trashcan to pick through in my voicemail system.

Your phone number is also not in my phone's contact list. Yes, I remember calling your number and storing it right in front of you. The phone number was magically erased when I "synced" my phone to my computer's contact list. Unfortunately, sync is only good at one thing; destroying contact information.

Now that you understand the completely logical reasons why I can't call you back, can I please have your phone number? I will try to keep track of it this time.

Which Blogging Platform to Use

I like Vox, but here I am at Blogger. Mainly because I'm already signed into Google and also because I follow another Blogger blog.

Anyway, one thing is for sure. In four months we will finally be rid of George W. Bush. May history burn him in effigy.

The COuch

I still can't figure out how to get more than one picture in a post. Here's the couch.

Albany, New York

I stayed in Albany, NY for the first time at the Hampton Inn. What a swanky hotel! It is definitely not like the Hampton Inn I stayed at long ago in Illinois. The room was bigger than my North Street apartment in Normal, IL, and everything was top notch. Two big, huge feather beds for just one me. And I had a living room area with a couch.

Albany was cool. It would have been nice to check it out when it wasn't raining, and with some friends. Definitely a city with big shoulders.
